An active start to the week as the LR market held steady with decent activity. On the LR2s, tonnage seemed to be slightly tight for the month of April, however the lack of fresh enquiries has kept a lid on freight rates. Things looked slightly busier on the LR1s as 1st Decade cargoes are still struggling to be covered and 2nd decade cargoes are already surfacing. It seems as though both Owners and Chtrs will have their work cut out for them this week. With the benchmark currently 55@W135, it will be interesting to see how the indices creep upwards this week.
Strong sentiment on the MRs was maintained with rates firming up in the AG/WCI market as wekk as North Asia.
